Apples & Twigs
Recipe Type: Vegetarian, No Cook

Description Hearty snack that kids (and adults) will love.
- 1 apple
- 1 pkt peanut butter or seed/nut butter
- 2 T granola of choice
- 2 T mini semi sweet chocolate chips
- At home pack the granola and chocolate chips in a snack bag. For a backpacking trip, pack the apple into a cup or mug to protect. For day trips, slice your apple and toss with a little fresh lemon juice to prevent browning, then pack in a small bag. Tuck the peanut butter packet in with it. For ease in preparing, pack a small sheet of parchment paper to work on.
- On trail:
- Slice the apple up (if not already sliced) and lay on the parchment paper. Spread the peanut butter evenly on. Dip the slices in the granola bag, then enjoy!
For best results use a small sized granola or run it through a blender/min food chopper to make small.[br]You can also make one slice up, then top with another apple slice to make an apple sammie.[br]PS: What kind of apple?
