Description Cold coffee frappe for the trail
- 2 c dry milk
- 1⁄2 c malted milk powder
- 9 pkt hot cocoa mix
- 2 T instant espresso or coffee powder
- At home:
- Combine everything in a container and shake until mixed. Let settle, then divide into 6 bags. Mark each bag ‘Add 1 cup cold water’.
- In camp:
- Add 1 cup cold water to the bag, seal tightly and shake till blended. May also be prepared as a hot drink, add 1 cup very hot water and stir well.
Depending on taste you may like double the coffee in yours, or sugar added. Vanilla powder is great added in as well.[br]Instant espresso powder can be found in some grocery stores, imported from Italy. Look in the coffee aisle up high, for the glass jar with a green lid – and you will have found the best instant coffee around.
