Maple Lemonade

Crisp, cold drinks are some of the best backpacking recipes you can bring on a trip.

Maple Sugar Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • 1 large lemon (about ¼ cup juice)
  • 3 Tbsp Maple Sugar

Directions:
Add to a 1 quart container and shake gently to combine. Add 1 quart cold filtered water. Put on cap tightly and shake till sugar dissolves.

Makes 1 quart.

Add to a 1 quart container and shake gently to combine. Add 1 quart cold filtered water. Put on cap tightly and shake for a minute.

Makes 1 quart.

Notes for both recipes:

Of course, if you have a sweet tooth you may want it sweeter. It is not as sweet as commercially made lemonade and you do have to love maple syrup. And for the love of everything, please use only real maple syrup and not gag…..pancake syrup. That is corn syrup!
