Store Information:

Handmade items are made by Sarah. She has enjoyed sewing outdoor gear for a number of years. If you ever have any issues with items sewn by us, please to contact us, and we will see to repairs or replacement. We strive to use 100% American made material in our products. Our insulating fabric is from Warm Company, based outside of Seattle, Wa.

Our gear is designed for those who backpack using a lightweight philosophy, but can still take a good amount of abuse. It isn't designed though for being filled full of rocks, being left near a fire or for keeping out hungry squirrels.

Shipping Information

Payment Information:

We use Paypal to process all online orders. We accept all major credit cards through Paypal, as well as Paypal accounts and checks online. We do not see your financial information. Paypal is a secure site for checking out on.

Shipping Fees:
We try to stay fair with shipping costs - only charging what it costs us to ship. We know it sucks to pay shipping. The reality is that buying online is quite often cheaper now with how pricey gas is! The shipping fees below are for all US and Military orders.
$0.01 - 13.95 = 3.50
$13.96 - 49.99 = 6.00
$50.00 - 99.99 = 9.00
$100.00 - 199.99 = 10.00
$200.00 - and up = 11.00

Shipping: All items are in stock for prompt shipping, unless noted.

Orders are shipped via First Class and Priority Mail and are shipped within 24 hours of purchase Monday through Friday in most cases (unless a custom sewn item). Average time to receive your order is 3 - 4 days after ordering. We do go on hiking trips that periodically take us out of office, in those cases we post on the store front page when we will be leaving and be back in.

We use USPS Postal Service to ship in most cases, so please make sure you can receive postal mail at the address you give us. If you have a PO Box, please put it your shipping address or in the comments area. To save on postage we sometimes will ship orders in two boxes, your packing slip will note that for you.

APO/FPO, Hawaiian, Alaska & US Territories address:
Your orders are treated the same as domestic US orders. Please make sure you can receive postal mail at the address you give. PO Boxes are welcome.

Information on Shipping out of the US:

International orders & Canadian Orders:

We are more than happy to ship to most anywhere on this planet! (There are a few places we are not comfortable with such as Mexico and certain countries in Africa due to corrupt mail services.)

We don't like that many companies charge very high fees for International orders, so we strive to keep our shipping costs fair. International orders are charged a bit more during checkout for shipping fees. We have attempted to keep them close to what we pay the post office. We ship Air on all International orders.

$13.96 - 49.99 = 15.00
$50.00 - 99.99 = 20.00
$100.00 - and up = 25.00

Due to customs, we cannot ship food items. The buyer is responsible for any duty/customs fees charged by their government. It usually takes about 1 week for packages to be recieved Internationally, but can take up to a month sometimes for packages to be received.

Paying through the mail:

We are happy to accept payments thru the mail for any of the products in the FBC store.

Please enclose a list of the items you would like, with your shipping address. Please make sure that your address can have US Mail shipped to it. To figure out the S&H cost, you can use the shopping cart. You can also print out the shopping cart if you desire.

If you are ordering cozies, feel free to email us, and we will make sure we save you the print style you desire.

We accept both money orders and checks, please allow up to 14 days for receipt and clearing. Please make payable to "Bay Street Communications, LLC".

Returns/Warranty Policy:

Please contact us if you have any issues with gear that is produced by us. If you experience any problems we would be happy to repair or replace your purchase. Repairs are free if you ever need them. Items made by our company carry a warranty covering manufacturer defects. We check each item as it is produced for defects carefully.

Items not made by us have their own warranties, and we can advise you on each companies policy.

Food items are not returnable due to health issues. If you receive a damaged item, let us know, we will replace it.

Returns for any items are on a case by case basis. Please contact us first. While we stand behind what we sell, we are not REI with an abusable return policy ;-) If the item is from The Bargain Bin or on sale, no returns unless defective. We do not remiburse for shipping back to us.

Retailers/Wholesale/Scout Troops:

If you are a bookstore, gear store or retailer and are interested in carrying our book in your stores, we offer wholesale pricing directly.  If interested, please contact us.

Scout Troops:
We support Scout Troops, if you are part of one and want to buy copies of our books for the Troop, please contact us and we can work out a deal for your troop. If you are doing cooking presentations, we can provide a PDF handout as well.
