Vegan base for meals
| 3 | c | organic raw cashews |
| 2 | c | nutritional yeast |
| 1⁄2 | c | organic cornstarch |
| 3 | T | onion powder (not onion salt) |
| 3 | T | dried garlic |

Only a certain few will go for this recipe but hey, for those who are vegan, this may work for you. The "cheese" mix will work for topping a number of items from pasta to rice to using as a 'gravy' for other items.

At home in a dry blender whirl the nuts till they are very fine. Add the other ingredients and blend well. Store tightly covered in your refrigerator for up to 2 months. To use: Add 1/2 cup mix to 1 cup of water in a small pot, whisk over heat till thickened. Salt to taste as desired.
