High protein filling for wraps and sammies.
Pack the nuts and fruit together in a quart bag, tuck in with the dressing and chicken.
Shake the chicken into the nut bag and stir to combine. Add dressing to taste, then spread on bread or wraps (see notes below). If on first day out, consider packing in some lettuce and Swiss cheese to go on them.
You will want 4 to 5 ounces of ranch dressing. Look for easy to carry packets or tubs of it.
Also pack bread or wraps of choice to have with the salad.

Tuna Surprise
This recipe spawned me to create a cheaper alternative for my Wood Badge patrol's camping weekend where there was a contest for least amount spent for food - we won.
My first experiment used a small pouch of tuna (4.5 oz I think), 1/4 C of chopped peanuts, 1/4 C of raisins and maybe a packet of ranch dressing (we actually just poured whatever looked right out of a bottle). My patrol was quite surprised at how good it was (hence the name), especially since there was at least one member that didn't like each of the ingredients.
I think on the version for the actual weekend, we used ~ 5 oz tuna (split from large cans to save money), 1/2 C chopped peanuts, 1/2 C raisins and a large packet of Ken's ranch dressing (not sure of exact size as another patrol member got them donated).
Love the thinking out of the "box"
A contest on being cheap? Fun! And sounds like you had some good meals.
