Veggie Beef Rice

Description Hearty rice dish.
- 3⁄4 c instant rice
- 6 T freeze dried ground beef
- 3 T freeze dried mixed vegetables
- 2 T vegetable soup mix
- 1 t dried chives
- 1 1⁄4 c water
- At home bag all the dry ingredients in a quart freezer or sandwich bag (depending on method chosen).
- FBC method:
- Add near boiling water to the bag. Stir well, seal tightly and put in a cozy for 15 minutes.
- Mug method:
- Add the dry ingredients and boiling water to your mug. Stir well, cover tightly and let sit for 15 minutes.
- One pot method:
- Bring the water to a boil. Turn off the heat and add in the dry ingredients. Stir well, cover tightly and set aside for 15 minutes. In cool temperatures or at altitude use a pot cozy to retain heat.
