Veggie Beef Rice

Description Hearty rice dish.
Ingredients
  • 3⁄4 c instant rice
  • 6 T freeze dried ground beef
  • 3 T freeze dried mixed vegetables
  • 2 T vegetable soup mix
  • 1 t dried chives
  • 1 1⁄4 c water
Instructions
  1. At home bag all the dry ingredients in a quart freezer or sandwich bag (depending on method chosen).
  2. FBC method:
  3. Add near boiling water to the bag. Stir well, seal tightly and put in a cozy for 15 minutes.
  4. Mug method:
  5. Add the dry ingredients and boiling water to your mug. Stir well, cover tightly and let sit for 15 minutes.
  6. One pot method:
  7. Bring the water to a boil. Turn off the heat and add in the dry ingredients. Stir well, cover tightly and set aside for 15 minutes. In cool temperatures or at altitude use a pot cozy to retain heat.
