- 1 fresh snow
- 1 flavorings (see below)
- ONLY USE CLEAN SNOW. Do NOT use any snow that has coloring on or in it. Colored snows can make you very sick. Do not collect snow near roads, use snow in the backcountry.
- In camp collect preferably fluffy snow.
- Fill your mug up with unpacked snow. Pour over the snow honey packets, real maple syrup or 100% fruit juice concentrates. Use your spoon to eat it snow cone style.
- Don’t eat too fast to avoid ‘brain freeze’ and in winter eat only a bit, as snow can lower your core temperature.
